Renzo Demartini: a Chartered Accountant who builds AI workflows for Australian and NZ businesses, on the software they already run

I spent 16 years in finance, where I automated payroll, accounts payable and the month-end. Now I build the same kind of workflow for your business, from Canberra, and your team approves anything odd.

Finance first, then systems

Most of the repeat work in a business ends up in the accounts. Jobs become invoices. Costs become margins. Numbers become reports. I have spent 16 years across finance, operations and systems. That is why I look at your accounts as well as your software.

Works Better is for one workflow at a fixed price. For larger custom builds and board-level work, I work through renzodemartini.com.

How I work

  • One person, from first call to hand-over. I run the audit, design the build and write the hand-over notes myself. No subcontractors.
  • Fixed prices. The prices are on the pricing page. The audit gives you a fixed quote for each build.
  • Written acceptance criteria. We agree what ‘working’ means before I start.
  • A person approves the step that matters. AI can draft a reply or flag an odd invoice. Anything that goes to a customer, posts or pays waits for one of your people.
  • 30 days of fixes. After delivery, I fix problems against the agreed criteria.
  • Personal replies. I reply to every enquiry myself.
  • Remote. I work remotely across Australia and New Zealand.

Why businesses that run on jobs, forms and invoices

These businesses run on a handful of repeating hand-overs. A job closes. A form comes in. An enquiry arrives. The details then have to reach the accounts and the reports. Trades and field service, landscaping, automotive and tyres, transport, and professional services are examples.

These hand-overs have clear rules, and a mistake costs real money. That makes them good places to automate, with a person checking the exceptions.

My published work spans KPI automation on Jotform, Airtable and n8n. My client work also covers MYOB, including a Tanda to MYOB link, MYOB charts of accounts, KPI reporting, and month-end and year-end.

Tools I work with

Most businesses already own the software they need. I connect it, check it and report from it.

Real builds

Two paid builds for named clients. Where a figure wasn't measured, I don't quote one.

Elliotts Landscape and Harrys Tyres: KPI forms to finished results (Jotform, Airtable, n8n)

Paid client work: two builds, one for each business. Both businesses agreed to be named.

For each business: a Jotform KPI form, Airtable for employee details and calculations, and n8n to process each submission, email the employee and management, and write the final KPI back to Airtable.

Before: about 4 hours each month and countless emails, for each business. After: one click per KPI submission.

Not measured: revenue and financial return. The 4 hours is my estimate, so it is time saved, not cash saved. Hours saved and dollars saved are counted apart. Beside them are the running costs: optional support from A$350 a month, and software and AI usage paid to the providers. Running costs (software and AI usage) are estimated in your audit, before you commit to a build.
